Set in the near future the series follows the fortunes of Stormshield - a crack team of scientists brought together by an element of the US government to attempt to change the course of hurricanes heading toward America.

But are the scientists' attempts at weather modification being used entirely for the common good, or do the powerful forces behind the project have other objectives in mind.
